IPMA-VA is accepting applications for the Debby Didawick Scholarship through August 31, 2020. Please see the application below.

  • In honor of the late Debby Didawick, PHR, long time chapter member and Human Resources Director for Frederick County, Virginia, the Virginia Chapter IPMA-HR has established a scholarship for chapter members who seek to increase their capacity in public human resources. The scholarship is awarded annually during VA IPMA-HR’s budget year (July – June).
  • Scholarship applicants must meet the following requirements:
  • • Must be a Virginia Chapter IPMA-HR member in good standing
  • • Must be currently enrolled, or accepted, at an accredited college or university with at least
  • junior status and pursuing a Bachelor’s, graduate certificate, Master’s or other postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management/Development, Public Administration or
  • a related field at an accredited college or university, OR pursuing an IPMA-HR Certified
  • Professional (IPMA-CP) or IPMA-HR Senior Certified Professional (IPMA-SCP) certification,
  • OR the IPMA-HR online HR Certificate program.

September 17, 2020 – VOSH Standards and Other COVID-19 Impacts (No cost for IPMA-VA members)

October 20, 2020 – Full Day Virtual Conference – while not a full conference schedule, several of the topics and presenters previously scheduled for the Spring Conference will be available in a virtual format. ($50 for IPMA-VA members, $75 for non-members)

October 21, 2020 – Half-Day Virtual Leadership Roundtable (included in the Virtual Conference fees)

November 19, 2020 – Supporting the Workforce’s Mental Health presented by Cigna (invited) (No cost for IPMA-VA members)
